Glori Stewart -- friend, colleague, Job Corps advocate
It is with great sadness that the Horizons Youth Services family notes the death of dear friend and colleague Glori Stewart, who died April 4, 2012. Glori’s courage in facing her illness and her passion for the Job Corps program and the students it serves are fitting tributes to her and an inspiration to all who knew her. Glori’s career in Job Corps spanned more than 30 years, starting at the Charleston Job Corps Center. She joined the HYS family in 2006, and focused on academics, career preparation and the Trainee Employee Assistance Program for all centers in addition to providing monitoring and support for specific centers. Glori also was instrumental in the writing of successful HYS proposals for new center operations. But more importantly, Glori was a good friend and tireless advocate for Job Corps. She will be greatly missed.
